    • Facilitated growth of company from 10 to 88 people through implementation of systems including: financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow projections and internal controls.
    • Managed selection and implementation of the Great Plains ERP system.
    • Increased company value by negotiating and drafting three multi-million dollar software license agreements that expanded technology offering.
    • Enhanced worldwide presence by negotiating 3rdparty worldwide customer support agreement and creating international subsidiary with sales offices in Europe and Asia.
    • Sped time to market of new products by sourcing hardware, negotiating vendor agreements and taking products through US and international agency approvals.
    • Raised $42M from both corporate and venture capital sources by working with executive team on development of business plans and negotiation of financing agreements.
    • Generated over $1M of cashflow through the restructuring of contracts, lease agreements and other liabilities which was then used to fund development of new enterprise product.

    • Generated cashflow through the license of commercial technology to industry leader by drafting contracts and helping with negotiation.
    • Transitioned manufacturing of commercial product line from plant in California to licensee factory in Maryland.
    • Enabled launch of residential product as part of management team working on marketing, contract manufacturing and distribution.

               Controller    (1994 – 1997)

    • Managed all financial and audit needs, taxes, insurance and banking.
    • Increased production capacity by managing build-out of 8,000 sq ft shell and relocation of manufacturing while not affecting shipments.
    • Increased sales by helping establish distribution channels, drafting customer agreements and creating credit and collection policies.
    • Reduced inventory and increased capacity and configuration flexibility by reorganizing manufacturing flow.

    • LabIntelligence – Implemented accounting system and supported prototype production for this biotech start-up designing and building an electrophoresis machine.

     Manufactured Unix coprocessor cards/software for PC’s and complete Unix computer systems.

    • Set up accounting and manufacturing MRP systems.
    • Handled all financial and audit needs.
    • Managed contract manufacturer for computer system product line.

     BS, Business (emphasis in Accounting) with Distinction, San Jose State University, 1990

 

Other:

Incorporated a non-profit group, Lincoln Education Enrichment Fund, to raise funds to support instructional aides and special programs at our local elementary school.  Served as President and Treasurer over a six year period (1994-2000).

Vice President and Event Coordinator for the non-profit Bay Area Orienteering Club (2008-present), a 250 member club that promotes education in orienteering (map based navigation) and puts on approximately 30 orienteering events for the public annually.
